My name is Pia and I am a Cool Summer!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Pia and I have always been fascinated by color and its effects in our lives.
I believe we use color to communicate feelings and emotions that sometimes we are not even aware of, or simply to shout out to the world an emotion or a mood that we wouldn’t know how to communicate otherwise. We choose colors to comfort ourselves, to delight our eyes with their beauty, to create pleasant environments and to re-create situations. Most of all we choose colors because we hope thy can make us nicer, give us luminosity, make us more trendy etc etc.
Personally, I have always been fascinated by pink in all its shades. Purple, also. Except for the fact that since I was a teenager I wouldn’t have worn these colors, not even under gun threat :) Black, was way better, and I must say was quite good on me. Unlike my friends who had to put on loads of foundation and lipstick if they wanted to wear black and don’t have a Casper look, I could get away with black. At the time I didn’t understand the reason, nor I knew anything about color analysis or seasons, but it was then that I started to study the color’s effects on persons around me. And for quite a while it remained only a hobby, a passion, although colleagues and friends would come to me for makeup and outfits advice. Soon, referrals got me a good client portofolio: people would come to me for specific outfit advice, shopping consultance.
One day I incidentally discovered an on line Quiz: “What is your season”. WOW. A whole new world had just opened its doors to me. The quiz didn’t reveal much to me…Online quiz are fun but not very useful. 

However, after finding more sites on color analysis and reading books on this I was able to have “access granted” to the secrets of color analysis. I started to study and read every single page I could find about color analysis. I also started to analyze every person around me, family, friends…until I created my site Coloressential (not available anymore,  and then my Italian blog at colorgriffe.blogspot.it (former coloressential). 

I now do color analysis on a daily basis, and I have created my “own “ method . I used to apply the 12 tonal system, but now I use the 16 season system, which I find to be complete.
I have now created this blog, in English, hope you enjoy reading it and posting your opinions and comments.

Finding your own season  and palette, means being able to be at your best, always, whit no effort. 

Because, disregarding the brand of the clothing or makeup we wear, if we choose to wear them in OUR colors, they will become our personal brand, a sort of signature. The most approrpiate definition for color analysis? Your colors, your personal beauty griffe.
